Ian Hodgson is the Systems General Manager at Ishida Europe, a leading company in the design, manufacture and installation of weighing and packaging equipment.  With a strong background in control systems engineering, Ian has been instrumental in advancing Ishida’s technological capabilities. Ian’s ability to solve complex problems and develop efficient software solutions, combined with his leadership skills and dedication to continuous improvement has led to his progression to lead Ishida Europe’s Systems department.  Under his guidance, Ishida Europe has continually delivered cutting-edge software and machinery control solutions that have helped position Ishida as a leader in the packaging industry. One of his notable achievements includes the development and implementation of the Ishida Sentinel™ software in 2016.  This innovative system allowed for remote monitoring and performance assessment of Ishida and third-party machines, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and reducing downtime.  He has recently overseen the complete redevelopment of this software, embracing the latest cloud and AI technology, in Ishida’s new Sentinel 5.0™.
